Abstract

The phenomenon of Major derivation, as an important linguistic tool in a deeper understanding of the meanings of the Quran, has played a significant role in the evolution of interpretive interpretations. Analysis of interpretive texts shows that the interpretation of the two words "dahw" and "tahw" faces many challenges in explaining the creation of the earth. Some commentators have tried to achieve a better understanding of the verses related to the creation and formation of the earth with the help of the phenomenon of major derivation, but so far the course of interpretive interpretations of the two articles "dahw" and "tahw" in the Quran and the effect of the phenomenon of major derivation (lexical substitution) on the interpretations have not been examined. Therefore, the present study seeks to discover the relationship between the use of the phenomenon of major derivation and interpretive interpretations of both entries and tries to clarify the role of this phenomenon in identifying the exact meaning of the two words. The following article, by adopting a descriptive-analytical method, has used lexical analyses to achieve this goal, and has extensively studied interpretive interpretations and the context of the verses. Research findings show that both words have common semantic components, including pushing, throwing, and moving. Over time, interpreters have gradually moved from the initial meaning of expansion to more complex concepts, including the rotational and transitional motion of the Earth and its effect on environmental conditions, which help clarify issues related to creation and human living conditions.
